a petite Curated project space to test out ideas , connect and share stories. a place for creativity, curiosity and kindness.
The Folk Experiment is nestled within the historic London House building in the tiny goldrush town of Talbot, on the unceded lands of the Dja Dja Wurrung. We pay our respects to their elders past, present and emerging.
Together, with our wine bar and store, Fossickers Fine Food & Eatery, you will find a welcoming destination to relax, slow down and connect. We support the handmade, small-batch and sustainable artisans, producers, artists, designers and makers from this special region.

EMMA ROSE
YOU ARE THE ONE
16 MAY - 29 JUNE
Emma Rose explores sacred geometry, words, nature, and spirituality through hand-drawn artwork. Her work reflects a journey of inner discovery, inspired by sacred scriptures and poetry.
Each piece, from intricate mandalas to geometric patterns, serves as both a prayer and meditation—an offering of intention. Every line, curve, and colour is chosen for its energetic resonance, with metallic watercolours and pens on coloured paper bringing the work to life.
Inspired by ancient teachings and the healing energy of nature, Emma seeks to guide viewers toward deeper connection, offering a meditative space for growth, healing, and reflection.
